Design patterns
From MobileDesign
These patterns follow the concepts laid out by Christopher Alexander's work in building architecture, of a set of baseline, idealized design principles which can be applied to specific problems, as the circumstances dictate. At the top of each page are listed any constraints of the mobile device hardware design under which the pattern may, or sometimes may not, be able to function.
These patterns should also serve to create a pattern language, or a common set of ideals, ideas and concepts which designers can to discuss design amongst themselves.
For more, see a thorough discussion about user interface Design Patterns.
[edit] The Design Patterns
The patterns are categorized heirarchically. While all of them can be browsed from the Main Page, the top categories are listed here. For any category or pattern with additional subcategories, this box will be at the bottom of the page, to provide reference to those pages.
