[edit] Merging Fisheye and Zoom

This appears to be broadly the same as the Fisheye pattern. As the details, description and illustration are very different, its worth letting it soak in for a bit, and merging instead of deleting either one of them.

The title might also be served well with a merger, so its immediately understandable to everyone.

[edit] Is two-column display alone another pattern?

Isn't the two-column display of list actually interesting enough to discuss all by itself? I think so.

Seems like multi-column primary display of lists might be best for landscape (wider than tall) devices. I've seen some HPCs that worked well with 3-4 columns.
